Ashley Holmes, CPNP-PC

Ashley Holmes is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Sublimity, Oregon. She earned her Master of Nursing degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2018. She also holds a Master of Science in Counseling from the same university and is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

During her studies, she had the opportunity to train at Calcagno Pediatrics, and she fell in love with the environment and the families and patients there. She was thrilled when she got the chance to work there full time, building strong relationships with the community. She's always loved children, appreciating their energy, joy, curiosity, honesty, and resilience. After college, she worked as an 8th-grade science teacher in rural Mississippi and later as a middle school counselor in downtown Nashville. These experiences showed her the importance of ensuring that all kids have access to high-quality healthcare, especially for their mental well-being.

Her care philosophy is all about providing evidence-based, holistic, and family-centered care for every child she serves. That means she looks at each patient as a whole person, considering not only their physical health but also their emotional, social, and developmental needs. She knows that family plays a crucial role in a child's life, so she involves them as essential partners in the healthcare process. By building strong, trust-based relationships and offering guidance and resources to both the child and their family, she provides high-quality and compassionate care.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling to new places, going for runs and hikes, and baking up some delicious treats.
